Really appreciate that you can select the difficulty in Splatoon Raiders. I chose easy mode, because I mainly want to experience the story and I had trouble in certain time trials already. And since a lot of them are required to do at least once, this could've been a deal breaker.

Games designed for the general audience should ALWAYS have the option to be played on an easy mode. I'd argue that's much more important than a challenge mode, as you can just make your own rules to follow for those. Even though if it's nice to have for players looking for a challenge.

Losing interest in a game cause it becomes too frustrating and thus not being able to experience the story is just an awful experience. There is def. space for more unforgiving (with no easy mode) games, but it's not in a franchise aimed at casual players.

Yeah. Like I will never touch Dark Souls, simoly because my frustration tollerance is very low and I don't look for a challenge, at least not this kind of challenge. But picking up a game that looks like fun and getting stuck sucks.

I enjoy easy mode s lot. I get easily overwhelmed with how much is going on on screen sometimes and I rather try again, knowing I can beat the boss by simply changing my tactics instead of "git gud"
