For sure, NWS has been impacted by the cuts. That wasn't my point. News orgs love some dumb ass folksy "farm almanac" when quoting a Fall or Winter forecast when there are actual, science backed outlooks being published by meteorologists. Maybe the almanac was relevant 75 years ago, idk.
