Must also clarify I'm not a classicist, just a lover of philosophy and there is debate as to whether Diotima was Aspasia, I believe (and some other 'proper' shcolars on this) that she was - a fictional character (Diotima) created to describe Aspasia cuz the blokes didnt want to acknowledge Aspasia
