I rediscovered my love for TMNT fairly recently, so ofc I had to mix it with my other hyperfixation. Also, Clank and Kit are loosely based on Mutant Mayhem's turtle tots because I love them to bits. (also Tales is a really good show, I highly recommend it, and it's a shame it got cancelled)

I had this design logic for Ratchet/Rivet, Clank/Kit: Rivet is scrappier looking, her robot arm is supposed to from a Nefarious robot she downed and later modified. I had this sorta gruesome detail where the shoulder was a bot head like Clank’s, but you don’t actually see it because of her posing.

Ratchet, despite his own scrappy origins, has got a much more successful life than Rivet, so he’s in a more polished-looking state. Clank looks scrunglier than Kit because he’s a defect! Kit was not.
