So I figured out why forums have died. Found one that had some answers I need. But the various links only work for members. So I go to sign up. Password not "strong" enough, okay fine I add some stuff that I'll never remember, I just want to access those links.

Validate via email. that's pretty normal. Go to email and hit the button. "Please wait for approval." So to get to this one link I have to sign up, make a ludicrous password, validate via my email, and even then I still can't access the forum until someone manually approves it.

All because there is this one link to a post I can't see because following links on this forum is 'member only'. And we wonder why they died / they're dying. #forum #astrophotography #deadinternet #deadinternettheory
