I know Project Kuiper (Amazon) isn't as big, but do they have similar issues?

Presumably yes but they're not required to publish their maneuvers like SpaceX (for reasons not entirely clear set by the FCC).

It is made burn in the atmosphere, which releases a ton of (poisonous) heavy metals. Not a huge problem if you have a handful of satellites doing it every few years. A massive issue if you have hundreds or thousand of them burning every year.

I was also thinking that if it doesn’t have enough propellant to manoeuvre it could increase the likelihood of a collision.

Before the propellent finishes they are sent down burning (they would eventually fall down by themselves, but you want to speed it up exactly because you can't manoeuvrer them).
