I’d go so far as to say - Americans are not going to shift their views on Israel substantially until a) the U.S. ends aid to Israel, at which point we’ll become indifferent or b) a coalition actually including Arab parties takes office

americans 1) aren’t going to ever know who the leader of israel is, unless they’re a sicko. they just don’t know stuff like that 2) if they do hear any news about israel, it will be in the context of trump accusing them of betraying us somehow, and uh that’s not going to make anyone less antisemitic

It reminds me a little of the tough on crime talk. Every politician in the '90s had to be tough on crime. That's how Israel is with aggressive foreign policy. Some are better than others, but they are all militaristic hardliners. Otherwise they'd never get elected.

i get the sense that any israeli pm would have done this scale of ethnic cleansing, but only he would've interfered in american politics as crudely as he has over the past ~15 yrs, and it's only down to the cowardice of old-school democrats that they've put up with it this long.
