I have seen this in so many places, I have no idea why police no longer care about enforcing traffic laws, it's bizarre! They're driving more than anyone! They have kids! Yet they don't care. Like do they get paid more dealing with crashes, the bloody the better?

I've seen more people just straight-up run red lights in San Diego since Covid than I had in my entire life up to that point. There's essentially zero traffic enforcement in Southern California.

This is a huge issue in Chicago. The only traffic enforcement that happens is either cameras, which cops have nothing to do with, or when cops use it as a pretense to hassle Black and brown people.

Oh yeah, cops can pull a driver over if the light on their licences plate is dim. Not burnt out, broken, missing, no, no, too dim, not bright enough to light the plate in the cop's opinion, could be brand new bulb but officer friendly had to squint to make out the letters, justified stop.
