US health & medical research is tip-of-the-iceberg. Trump’s plan to shunt scientific research dollars from universities to AI tech company coffers is tragic; best analogy: if human civilization is an aircraft, they plan to remove the engines during flight and repurpose the parts for cabin fixtures.
