To be fair though, Dr Suess learned how wrong he was and recanted these earlier comics. He met survivors of Hiroshima and also befriended a Japanese man and was freed from his own ignorance by discovering, by jove, they are people just like me. He even wrote Horton Hears a Who as an apology.
