Spanish Flu originated in Kansas, then was spread by soldiers to multiple training camps, followed by tons of confirmed cases & deaths. Because yeah--tight quarters & easy spread. But it was WWI. So we shipped our sick troops out, where we spread it to Europe. 🚩Hegseth is an *ignoramus.* #SelfOwn

This stupidity reminds me how we *knowingly* spread Spanish Flu in WWI. "Contrary to popular belief the 1918 virus - now known to be of the H1N1 strain - 🚩did not originate in Spain but rather in #Kansas in the U.S.. Influenza reached the port of Brest, France, with American soldiers in April."
