What I’m noticing is a growing hostility toward journalists on this app. More people seem eager to dismiss them for ‘not standing up,’ as if the job is performance art instead of reporting.

There was a time when journalists were expected to be impartial, ask tough questions, seek truth from every side, and let the facts do the talking. If a politician lied or exposed their own ignorance, that’s the story. The audience served as judge and jury. No theatrics. No bias. Just journalism.
