If you could finish your writing today and are considering hiring beta readers, which area would you prioritize for them to focus on?

That’s a good question! I’m looking for several things but places they stopped reading, when they guessed the villain, and books this reminds them of, are some points of interest.

I like that you ask where readers stopped reading. Have you ever had a beta reader point out a scene they almost put the book down, and did it end up changing the manuscript?

This will be my first time hosting a beta read for my work but I have beta read for other authors. I hope that things I’ve pointed out have helped and I would definitely take that into consideration for my own manuscript.

That's actually a nice position to be in because you've experienced both sides of beta reading. I think it makes you much more intentional about the feedback you're looking for. I hope your first beta read goes really well. Could you share it while I take a look and provide the feedback it deserves?
