There’s a fucked up “staycation” privilege in this Telegraph / New Statesman class discourse. “Wouldn’t it be great if we could go somewhere hot but it was nearer. Staycation everyone!” No. Staycation is staying in your own house cos you can’t afford to travel to take your holiday.
