Surprised is not it. But I'm always moved beyond words. Like I'm never surprised about another mass shooting.
But what I do feel is so much worse. It's more than just horror and disgust. It's every nightmare I had growing up. It's every victim's face I've seen. Every headline.
In a flash.
Maybe it's generational but everyone I've talked to around my age is never shocked by any of this. It's just what we've been raised to see and expect. Most go through emotions that are so much worse than being shocked as a result.
