This is a shit take. A big reason why I have a subscription to Alamo Drafthouse is to take my kids to see old movies. Growing up I routinely watched old movies with my parents. My 16 year old has seen The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and Silence of the Lambs in the last year and loved them.
