I like this! This poem by L.E. Bowman expresses much the same spirit

I adore all these women, but if you had just held out till Dec 30th when the awe-inducing Patti Smith turns 80 you would have had a much more interesting article. No plastic surgery, just power emanating from her all the way to the back row of every concert. The plastic surgery is conforming.

Unlike many men of their generation and prominence, they are not on the Epstein list.

I remember a 70’s magazine article that predicted how celebrities of the day would end up in their senior years. Streisand, they predicted, would end up as “an old kvetch”. 😂

I enjoyed Debbie’s piece; thanks for sharing. I have admired each of these women for decades.

I know it’s their choice, and I support that in many ways…but boy do I wish we lived in a society where these beautiful women DIDN’T feel the need for so much plastic surgery. 😞
