I went down the YouTube rabbit hole on battery swap technology a couple weeks ago. It puts a massive debt into planned obsolescence. Only a fraction number of moving parts compared to a gas car and if you’re leasing the battery you’re not on the hook to replace it at 100 K miles or whatever.
