I looked something up while looking for something else—the full name of the river was: El Río de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula—"the River of Our Lady Queen of the Angels of Porciuncula" The mission and pueblo came later, the Porciuncula is St Francis's Italian church
