This is yet another "billionaire blackmails city with threat to move team" story isn't it. American sports are a weird cartel system and the idea that the team makes money but someone else is expected to pay for the stadium is just one weird part of the weird kaleidoscope.

I am in the let them move camp. No need to change Portland for them.

We have to argue about professional sports teams and reality TV hosts/influencers so our descendants can argue about urbanism and solar cell build-out. Tale as old as time.
