This assumes that Americans want and like the mass of bullshit--halftime shows, constant music, jumbotrons etc--that fill major sports venues, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Like, I've never in my life heard anyone say they wished there were bigger jumbotrons or more music in arenas

Do Americans actually like sport? They seem to feel there must always be something else going on to keep you engaged. Most fans just want the game to restart. We’re capable of enjoying the break.
