I don't know why I'm shocked, but a 5G filter is apparently all I needed to fix my OTA reception. I've been frustrated about picking up Indy stations better than Lafayette ones for a while, but didn't do anything about it until a couple days ago.

The filter got here last night. Just finished getting up into the attic and getting it in place. Now my local FOX is coming in crystal clear. I don't mind the Indy stations, but I think the Lafayette stations have better picture and the local news is obviously more local.

For the longest time, I thought it was how I positioned the antenna. I aimed it at Indianapolis, thinking I ought to be able to pick up Lafayette stations with a paperclip if I really had to. The reception issues were intermittent, but persistent enough that I knew something was off.

I had been looking into rotators for a while, but those were both expensive and hard to find. Then I remembered 5G signals could interfere, and those filters were like $10 or $20 and much easier to install. It seems to have worked wonders. It should probably be a part of every OTA setup nowadays.
