Songtradr has fired all the engineers at Bandcamp and while they say they are focusing resources on that beloved platform, we don’t know what is going to happen. I am worried. Now is the time to support member-owned cooperative music distribution platforms like @Subvert.fm

To be clear: Bandcamp still works (although there have been server slowness errors all year). I am still using it. But we don’t know what is coming and have no control because it’s up to the owners of the company. Co-ops operate differently.

And if you want to change something about how Subvert is run…propose it! Members can petition resolutions onto the ballot that YOU vote on. It’s your platform

I have released music on Bandcamp for 16 years but I also joined Subvert in May - I released a soundtrack there - and my experience is 100% positive.

I've also been on Bandcamp from the start and I think it is definitely time to start moving my eggs out of that basket before it disappears.
