Famous last words. Aortic dissection has to be very painful. My Dad die of an abdominal aortic aneurysm that they had known about for a long time. He said it was the most painful thing he's ever experienced.

I worked with a young guy years ago who died of an aortic aneurysm while working remotely. His teammates couldn't rouse him in the morning and when the hotel manager opened the door, he was found dead. He knew of his condition, but didn't want to acknowledge it.

I myself had a close call with a bilateral pulmonary embolism years ago likely the result of a DVT. I was lucky I reported symptoms to my doc and they found it in a CT scan. A lot of people just suddenly drop dead. We're all just on borrowed time.
