Brought up in Australia in the 1960s/70s & pineapple & ham a standard pizza topping so don’t understand the problem 😂 However, had a banana & prawn pizza in Madeira a couple of years ago & that’s a hard no. (Bananas are a big thing there. There’s a signature island dish involving fish & banana)
