...but then, I understand the Rime Age they added to the Myst remake was completely overhauled from the old realMyst version i finished the remake but i haven't played it since they added Rime, whoops!

I wholly recommend playing it with the Rime expansion, we really tried to sort of Riven-ify it with a whole bunch of new context and lore! I hope you’ll get a kick out of it if you loved the Riven remake. 😄♥️

were there changes made to places besides Rime in the update? i did know that Rime was overhauled but i didn't hear anything about changes in the rest of the game

The grand majority of the update is Rime! There are a couple small aesthetic tweaks to Myst that I fought for, but nothing quite so major unfortunately. 😅
