School principal here and I see your valid aerial view. Here on the ground, we are increasingly expected to raise kids as well as educate them. It’s does our hearts good when parents are held accountable for parenting.

parents should be held accountable for parenting. there are other ways to hold people accountable than convicting them of a murder they didn't commit, had no knowledge of, and didn't intentionally encourage. teachers and admin are tasked with far too much. this does nothing to alleviate that.

I'm glad to see a parent held accountable for not responding to warning signs and for buying their child an assault-style weapon
