The claim that unicorns don’t exist is not an evidence-based statement because studies have not ruled out the possibility that unicorns exist.

That’s exactly what I would expect a mermaid to say

These assholes have no clue how reality works…

The stupidity is palpable 😱

The claim that contracting measles is extremely bad for your health is not an evidence-based statement because studies have not ruled out the possibly that contracting measles might make you immortal and a lottery winner.

Unicorns are what is known as a negative. Like Santa Claus. Impossible to disprove. Vaccines causing autism is not a negative. There’s empirical evidence. Any scientist associated with this administration and RFK is tarnishing their reputation

Hannah Poling’s autism was found, by our National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, to have been plausibly caused by a set of vaccinations she received. Even if there were special circumstances, which there were, that’s at least ONE person it did happen to. So “it’s been disproven” is wrong.

I literally mentioned a name and you can’t even bother googling it.

I already know the case. The DOJ settled that case even though there was never any evidence that the vaccines had in any way caused, or worsened her condition. Settling doesn’t mean that the plaintiff was right. My background is biology and medicine. You apparently can’t comprehend science

We’re talking about the law. In order to be awarded compensation under the VICP, the court has to decide that there is a causal link between a vaccine and the injury. They did so based upon the evidence presented. So you are factually incorrect. Yes, the CDC has been trying to walk that back as much

as possible since then, which is damage control. Once again, studies may not “have found a link between vaccines and autism,” but that isn’t the same as definitively *disproving* it. If you knew science as well as you claim you do, you would understand the difference.

Ответ для Shameful and Evil Leopard on Parade

The fact that there is no evidence of a link between autism and vaccines disproves the claim. It is up to the claimant to prove the link.

Ответ для Billy Juggernaut Antifa

Nope. That is not how science works. I’m not the only one on this thread pointing that out.

Ответ для Shameful and Evil Leopard on Parade

Yes, it does. The burden of proof falls on the claimant. If it can’t be proven then it’s….disproven. That doesn’t mean that can never change, like just about anything in science.

You sound like maga. “Many interpreted the court decision as the government's concession that vaccines caused autism. But doctors pointed out that there have been no scientific studies showing such a link, or that patients with mitochondrial disorders were affected by vaccinations.”

Ответ для Billy Juggernaut Antifa

The fact that you code “someone disagrees with me” as “MAGA” is not my problem.

Ответ для Shameful and Evil Leopard on Parade

You’re denying science. You’re scientifically illiterate but you think you’re not. The claim you made isn’t at all what happened. As soon as you posted the claim I knew it was bullshit. Like I know with maga.

Man, you actually need to google the case bc you’re wrong. Insult me all you want, it doesn’t make the fact that the entity responsible for awarding money to vaccine-injured people found a causal connection between Poling’s vaccines and her autism. Her dad’s a neurologist, btw.

Ответ для Shameful and Evil Leopard on Parade

No they didn’t. The DoJ settled. The board found no relation.

Ответ для Billy Juggernaut Antifa

This is false. They didn’t “settle” like they were being sued. Thats not how the program works. Lots of cases are rejected. Hers was not. They found the link between the vaccine and her injury plausible enough to award damages. Stop making shit up just to suit your comfort level.

Unicorns are our national animal here in Scotland. So, they must exist.

Ответ для dundeegael

I thought that was a dragon.or a lion. or a griffon. or a wait, what are we talking about?

Ответ для Conjuay

Dragon is a good guess. Indeed, the national animal of our nearby sister Celtic nation, Wales, is the mythical Red Dragon, in Welsh: Y Ddraig Goch. (the allegation I was responding to was that unicorns don't exist. Obviously they do.)

Ответ для dundeegael

I guess I need to review 🫠

Now that is an evidence-based claim. False, sure, but evidence-based all the same.

Not this fucking shit again. ANYTHING but accepting disabled people are people too

What about mermaids?

That egregious and all, but also look at how the page has proper footnotes in places but then this headline has an asterisk that is pretending to be a footnote. Total clown show. www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safe...

What's the CDC's position on vaccinating my unicorn?

We are shameless.

What us so frustrating is we have multiple studies that definitively show vaccines do not cause autism. But people dont want to believe it, so unicorns it is.

Scientific research never "rules out the possibility" of anything. Not how science works.

The claim that Anna Kendrick is not my wife is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that Anna Kendrick is my wife.

Ответ для a weird cupcake

Therefore, *ipso facto*, Anna Kendrick is my wife.

assholes cause autism. Show me one autistic person without an asshole.

Grapes cause autism. Show me a study that disproves it.

Genetics say otherwise.

“These studies only fail to reject things! None of them prove anything! Therefore all claims are valid”

The claim that Donald Trump was raped by a bear repeatedly in the 80's is not an evidence-based statement because studies have not ruled out the possibility that Donald Trump was raped by a bear repeatedly in the 80's.
