Is there not an HD master of this? I thought it got high definition Blu-ray releases in other territories.

I believe there were in Japan, however, I don't recall it actually looking much better than the best SD versions. I might be wrong on that, though, it was a long time ago when Discotek brought Part 2 to DVD. 😅

I can't remember if the Miyazaki directed episodes at least got remastered or not (someone can chime in on this), but basically the entire series just got an upscale and it's... very clearly an upscale. Take that as you will.

Fantastic to have out but I genuinely wonder what the hangup on dubbing the rest of this is behind the scenes; there doesnt seem to be any hesitation at all dubbing other Lupin material

YESSSS I was literally just bitching to a friend last night about how the GKIDS Blu-ray release of 'The immortal bloodline' didn't include this like the Japanese release does... now we know why. Thank you! :-)

He didn’t get that on the Japanese version, if I remember right, I doubt he’ll get it on the American one.
