Out of curiosity, how does it pan out for the kids of immigrants who end in the vocational track? Here in Finland it's widely seen as a kiss of death towards low-skilled work for immigrants
From what we’ve experienced in Switzerland, the vocational route certainly isn’t a “kiss of death”. My son is doing a four-year EFZ apprenticeship. Language seems to be the biggest barrier; once young people are fluent, we’ve generally found they’re treated on merit.
