Might as well ask me if my lefthandedness is a social construct. Yeah, love paying extra for the lefthanded version of things, I'm just doing it for attention, obviously.

If one accepts that society is a conformity machine and that people are animals and therefore literally cannot conform, it all looks very simple. I frankly blame the comprehensive school system and "management theory" for a lot of this. We're not machines.

But there was hardly any left handedness a few generations ago so it's just a made up thing. *conveniently forgetting that school made me write with my right hand because the devil sits on your left shoulder.

Well… (Honestly, I was taught to write with my left hand, and did manage that, but really do struggle much else with it)

My grandfather literally had his left handedness beaten out of him at school. Except it didn't take so well as, apart from writing, most other things he was left handed.
