Maimin was there a long time, but not quite *that* long. We overlapped at UChicago; he's class of 1999.

Buckley: We would like to preserve the record. There is a circuit split - the 4th Circuit in the Sterling case rejects the three factor test. So we will not withdraw. Judge: Can't you take the steps, then come back and apply for subpoenas?

No, he would have graduated in 1999, but I recall he was at SDNY for a long time. I actually didn’t know he left

Oh wait, if this is a motion to quash, I guess technically the “defense table” would be the government, which means Maimin is still at SDNY and is staffed on this

this is one of the more spectacular shellackings I’ve ever seen a fed judge lay on a fed prosecutor he called the lead lawyer’s boss, whose “name is on all the pleadings” to come up out of the stands to shellac him too! 😆
