The tifa reveal is so sad to me because, irregardless of whether it’s something I ultimately want or not, if there wasnt months and months and months of leaks and speculation and discourse about her inclusion I would have genuinely freaked out. On paper, a ff character in sf is nuts.

Two reliable people showed that image to me and I didn't believe it BECAUSE it was Tifa. "Put Tifa in ______" was such a fucking meme for years that her name just makes me roll my eyes now. Double that with people already making fake season 4 images and it just made me skeptical as hell.

also I would have rather aerith been in the game. Don’t care that tifa is the punch girl. Aerith is cuter and better and funnier and cooler than tifa and that’s that! Plus she has a big long staff. Don’t think we’ve ever had a staff user in sf. Would have been interesting.

Rolento and Falke are staff users, though they're short staffs unlike Aerith's (and Falke is also kinda forgettable) Also, I agree on Aerith over Tifa. I said Tifa being the FF guest character in a fg is the most boring choice you could make and my friends called me stupid for it lol

I did forget about falke lol. And she does have a staff. But I’m kinda talking about a character that has like a bo staff? and specifically uses it as such. Like kilik from sc. Falke uses her shit like a club/gun. And rolentos is like…a baton at most lol. It’s too short.

But yeah agreed. I’d rather have any ff7 party member over tifa. I get she suits but it’s just boring. I hope they really do something subversive with her sub but I doubt they will. She’ll just be another character with a really good low forward into drive rush and they’ll slap like a Rekka on her
