Supergiant Games20 июл., 19:09On this day 15 years ago, we launched our first game, Bastion. To everyone who helped the Kid survive the Calamity, thank you!!🙏 You're the reason we've been able to carry on as an independent studio ever since.
nwsoftwareguy21 июл., 02:14Still never beat that game. Remember playing it on Xbox 360 back in the day.

FakeKraid21 июл., 02:32And huge S/O to Logan Cunningham for bringing such an amazing talent to bring that story to life, definitely a big reason the game stuck with me
Gus20 июл., 19:49This post led me to find out Supergiant is here on bluesky and that is awesome! thanks for the amazing games you do!
Browncoat20 июл., 22:12So good. TBH the sooner SG go away from the Hades Rouge-likes and back to proper games like Bastion and Transistor, the better. I adore them.
Time Lord Soundwave 🇨🇦20 июл., 20:43I still have my PHYSICAL copy, complete with instruction manual. Thanks @limitedrungames.com.
dennis ~Wishlist 🎮miniquest~20 июл., 20:10The game that made me realize that there are types of stories that can only be told via games. Still a perfect title even all these years later. Here's to the next one, Kid.
pat20 июл., 21:36My first ever 100% game, had the Bastion Announcer in Dota 2. This game is the best!
Fightmage Studio20 июл., 19:26One of my favorite games too! I think the carbine might be one of my favorite video game sound effects in particular
CPreczewski20 июл., 21:46💙 Bastion was my first Supergiant Game and I can't wait to see what you all create next!! Have fun and thanks for everything!
Kranot (aka: Terri, Brewberry or Ylasro)21 июл., 15:21one of my favorite games of all times to this day
Forrest20 июл., 22:41I can still hear the narrator’s voice, clear as day. “Some things are just meant to be broken. Others... they're meant to be fixed.” Thanks for a great game, and many more great games over the last 15 years!
djKENTO20 июл., 20:21I remember playing this at PAX and absolutely vibing. Guess it's time to boot it up once again.
🌹🌸❀ Rabby ⚢ Team Tragedy ❀🌸🫐20 июл., 21:04A truly fantastic piece of art. Still one of my favourite games, and the reason I started wearing bandanas.
Jenni "Luna" Söderlund 🇸🇪🏳️🌈 ~*Commissions open!*~21 июл., 01:03Bastion is SUCH a good game! Thank you for making amazing experiences for all of us!
Zearen Wover21 июл., 00:35I never played many video games, but this game changed what I thought a video game could be. I had thought they were mindless, titillating violence. Bastion taught me that video games could tell a story in a way no other medium could, and that has shaped my taste in them ever since.
drossus21 июл., 11:13On a pretty short list of games I finished everything in, and even shorter list of games I bothered playing in NG+ mode. Fantastic experience.
iBRAR 🍉21 июл., 00:20just don't sell out to anyone. the games industry has been ruined by xbox and sony.
WaterCat120 июл., 22:28"A proper story" from the soundtrack has been my alarm for over a decade. It's just the perfect pick up to get a day going.
egpNoodlez20 июл., 19:38Really love this game a lot, I bought a physical copy just to have the instruction manual, such a rare thing for games these days. Thank you for 15 years of awesome games, you've built such beautiful worlds with incredible soundscapes, every story and character is full of wonderful writing.
darunia74920 июл., 21:13Loved this game, the simple story, the music... Heck, the gameplay was a blast too
GeektimusPrime21 июл., 00:00I loved, but never finished this amazing game, and I just jumped back into it about two weeks ago, to try to get to the end of it after all these years!
🍔 Queen Sapphy 🔜 BLFC, MFF, NYFB23 июл., 16:29We love you supergiant. Hope you return to making new worlds also!
Faegran🔞21 июл., 00:23I remember seeing the first trailers and I bought it immediately on release. I love this game so much! ❤️ Been following your gamedev path ever since cause I really love the direction and depth your games have!
Jaydra Dawn21 июл., 02:29I've never seen a studio with such a vivid, always changing but always recognizable art style, backed by the best way to do difficulty, and really fun mash-ups of mechanics. I've used the Messenger Imp as my avatar on Discord and other servers for years. First time I saw him I laughed hysterically.
Matt Rkiouak20 июл., 21:18Will probably always be THE narrator voice I judge all other third person narrators against.

Brandy Savage20 июл., 19:44liked this type of games. A short experience that stuck with me for a long time. the rogue like structure doesn't hit the same for me, even if it's obviously very succesful
Chris Hopper 🔜 Gencon20 июл., 19:45This soundtrack still gets me through long days. Guess it's about time for a replay...
Furn20 июл., 20:07Bastion was one of the first few PC games I owned and it was one of the best games I've played ! Thank you so much for making it and going forward after it 🫶
Tony Vu!20 июл., 19:42One of the first indie games I played on PC and I still love the soundtrack. Thanks for all the great games!
KevinTheTimeGeek8620 июл., 22:20I decided to try that game on a whim after getting it during a Steam sale many years ago. Glad I did, because then I could declare that I knew you guys had the sauce even before "Hades" made you guys indie darlings with everyone.
puck ✨20 июл., 21:36Narrator is STILL my dota2 announcer (because I stopped playing dota2 before Transistor came out)
Bag of Internet20 июл., 19:20Carrying Zulf out of there is still one of my favorite moments in video games.
Dukk Dukkering20 июл., 20:03Just that one guard getting smacked because he didn't realize everyone else had paused...
DandyFeller (aka Drew)20 июл., 20:59Every now and then, I still think about that. It's been a decade and some years. Clouds are still making way for me.
Mosh21 июл., 07:42Bastion had me hooked right from the get-go, the constant narration style, the way the world came together as you perceived & interacted with it. By the end of the game, I knew I had found one of my favorite dev teams. Then you released Transistor. Hades. Hades II. I can't wait to see what's next!

Gronk of Aquilonia, Barbarian Engineer20 июл., 21:41One of the few games I bought the soundtrack of That game was a lot of fun
matchafterdark20 июл., 22:49very rarely has pure, dialogueless gameplay mechanics brought me to tears, but the ending sequence in bastion...
Zalrek @ MFF20 июл., 19:36One of the first indie games I had played outside of Minecraft at the time, and still one of my favorites! You all haven't missed with any of your subsequent releases
Felsic 🌲🏳️🌈🤼♀️🎮20 июл., 21:21One of the first video reviews I ever wrote, I loved this game so much ❤️
Alex 🏳️⚧️20 июл., 21:18Every release has always had me wondering "how can they top this?" And every subsequent release has always shown me how. Bastion was a banger, and every game you have released since then has just been raising the bar!
Azuli Bluespots / Azure Lights21 июл., 13:30Wait, i never noticed the blue gear. Probably because I've been trying to play this in all the wrong ways possible. (Officially owned mind you, but running the files on weird hardware)
Harbinger of Doom20 июл., 22:26I replayed this a few months back. It has aged exceptionally well. Great, great work, y'all.
FlimFlam20 июл., 20:18Bastion was one of the first games I remember playing that left an impression on me as a kid. The game's world was so mesmerizing to me, and despite not fully understanding the story, I loved it. The microwave tunnel section (vague for spoilers) in particular is something I still think about today.
Patrick H21 июл., 06:59Bought this during my first year of college, steam achievements says I finished it literally three days after it released on PC. absolutely incredible game and it blew my mind when I finished it!!

mugiwara53020 июл., 22:01Bought it very early on, but ended up finishing Transistor years ago and never finished this. Just went back and beat it. You all do amazing work. Loving Hades, keep it up!!
Charles R. Mousseau20 июл., 23:39To this day, every time I’m on a plane heading home and it starts taking off, I’ll shut my eyes and fire up the end credits on a lossless loop and listen to a couple spins.
Inter21 июл., 06:37I played Bastion way back when it released and have purchased it three times total - twice on Steam, once on PS4. It is a real masterpiece of story even compared to modern games. Dare I call it, a proper story.
Enrique20 июл., 23:11I remember it a such a good game with great art, gameplay, voice and music. Nowadays I still listen to the OST.
Doc: Stoatcialist20 июл., 22:58I was so late to this party but it was still rocking when I showed up. Thanks for all the bomb ass games u beautifuls 😍

Kharjo'Jo Bizarre Miniatures20 июл., 20:30And it was a blast! I've had so much fun playing Bastion back then! And nowadays I'm having so much fun playing Hades (will start Hades 2 soon, I'm almost done with the first one) ♥️

Veronica Beren'Gar Mausolos Vindicta XXIII20 июл., 22:20Bastion is the reason I became a writer. Thank you so much for creating this beautiful world and breathing life and curiosity into my own mind. I truly don't know where I'd be in life right now if I had never played Bastion.
Blonde Pizza (Mashina OUT NOW!!)20 июл., 21:29Happy anniversary!! I love this studio and all the games you guys have put out through the years. Transistor helped me get through life when I was in a real bad way and Bastion was one of the first games I ever beat on stream. Pyre and the Hades series also have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Enbyfilter 🏳️⚧️ Ent Lyra Θ Δ23 июл., 15:09I think I’ve bought that game at least 4 times. I like having it on my handhelds as a comfort game

Andrew Russ21 июл., 18:44I remember when this came out in the Xbox Arcade Summer event and I loved it so much. Immediately bought the soundtrack as soon as I could and replayed it right after finishing to get the other ending. One of the few games I actively got all the achievements. Made me a Supergiant fan for life.
Afo21 июл., 01:44I've been a fan ever since. Bastion still holds a dear place in my heart (especially the OST) 🤍
Sprocket Bicycle Marketplace20 июл., 20:05My wife is new to gaming and she loved it! What are you up to currently?
Kween 🏳️⚧️20 июл., 21:35As someone who has been inspired by this game to write over 300 pages of rules and worldbuilding to adapt its beautiful and broken world into a table-top rpg experience just to spend more time in it and share that wonder with many others, thank you, Supergiant.
DocDrowsy20 июл., 19:49Glad to have experienced it way back then! Hearing some of the songs at the Hades concert felt like a real full circle moment :'D
Jade C. W. 🌱20 июл., 20:58I used to play the music sheets you provided at your site. My mom loves Bastion songs until this day.
Jade20 июл., 21:33I remember being dragged by my parents to a party with nobody I knew, hiding in the guest bedroom, and playing this game on my school tablet for the first time. Cleared the whole thing in one sitting, and then 14 year old me started SOBBING at the ending.

Dave Wood21 июл., 17:10100% - Loved getting to see Darren and Ashley just before the pandemic and having like 500 nerds all sing "Build That Wall" together
Zenibuka 💿 "Tavern Tales" OUT NOW ⚔️20 июл., 20:11Love you guys and this game. ALT text is bad tho, no idea what the picture is about
Azuli Bluespots / Azure Lights21 июл., 13:34Reference to the game the picture is from, Bastion. Artwork of the protagonist, a boy with tanned skin and white hair, sitting on a ledge characteristic of the game's floating ground, holding a blue gear and looking into the distance. (Hopefully enough alt text alternative for who needs it)
Buzzy Beetle20 июл., 19:48You folks have been such an inspiration to me you have no idea. Also you keep making me cry with your games. I rarely emote with video games; what's up with that? 😜
Ghelfaire20 июл., 21:41Great game, amazing soundtrack. Wish i could still play it but my computer refuses to run it
Lostar20 июл., 22:14Spike in a Rail is still, after all this time, still one of my favorite OST tracks of all time. I put it on when I absolutely have to lock in. It has this forward momentum to it that just never fades.

Jay Polini21 июл., 06:37This game was pure love! Transistor was another game that i played nonstop to the end.
Gadi Aleksandrowicz20 июл., 19:14Proper stories are supposed to start at the beginning, ain't so simple with this one.
Gadi Aleksandrowicz20 июл., 19:14Heard those lines and immediately I knew I was in for something special. Got what I expected all the way to Hades 2 and hopefully beyond.
Dan21 июл., 17:18Bastion was so good and now you've released the two best playing games of the century in Hades and Hades 2. I can't wait to see what you do next.
Reskar20 июл., 19:59Congratulations on the 15th anniversary. Having played it and speedrun it, Bastion will always be with me for the rest of my life. It’s already a part of me. So thank you so much for giving us a little piece of yourselves through this game.

The Cool Cat Corner ⚧️21 июл., 14:36Still one of my favourite games to date, and one of my favourite soundtracks One day that wall is gonna fall
Snailbunny Designs 🐌20 июл., 23:03ooo man, I bought that years ago on steam and haven't played it yet. Its good though, so I know i should. The Sam Elliot guy really should be added to more games.
Jeremy Duffy20 июл., 22:35Boston is such a breakthrough brilliant game. Only fifteen years back? Wow.
drmrprofsir20 июл., 20:01Bastion will always hold a special place in my heart as the first game I ever bought myself. I still remember playing it on my old hand me down laptop at 15 fps, downloading the soundtrack onto my mp3 player. "Those were the days...."

Tim Heffley21 июл., 00:51The only game I beat and started again immediately for the other ending. The narration. The music. The gameplay. 10/10.
Lali, Nerdy Speedrunner20 июл., 19:43Thank you Supergiant to the joyous start to your series of "games that make me bawl".
Jackson 🦖23 июл., 09:45Still remain one of my absolute favorite developers since. Bastion was a damn masterpiece, and it's always been a treat seeing how wildly different your next game is each time, and how you implement *some* kind of narration, heh.
The Price of Reason20 июл., 21:40Still one of the finest. Tell Greg that Deuce from the NG mailing list says hello. 😁
Fish Lady Abs21 июл., 03:03Bastion was an interesting one. Bounced off it the first time, LOVED Transistor, came back and tried Bastion again and played it right through. That song about the wall really hits different these days…
Flareware20 июл., 20:10One of my favorite games of all time! I bought it on Xbox and lost access to it a few years ago; I mean it was the Xbox 360 lol. Bought it on iOS and now Steam! 💖
Tasmia20 июл., 21:41This game was so infectious and captivating. Such a great memory trying it out indies after building my first PC
Jonathan20 июл., 19:22Thanks for continuing to be a bright spot in a sea of bad news in the gaming space. Glad to see a team grow at a reasonable pace and see team members sticking around for years and years while still innovating and improving with each release.
Operation Snivy20 июл., 20:31I think this may have been the only game I ever bought on my iPad back in the day, well worth it. I’d like to give it a go again. Of course I’m now a massive fan of Hades and Hades 2. People respond to quality over quantity and I think these games have that balance!
PRK20 июл., 19:25Bastion alone made you guys one to keep an eye on, and every gave since has delivered in kind!
SpookWaves20 июл., 19:41“Kid perches himself on a ledge of the ol’ Bastion. Got himself in a bit of a ‘reminiscing’ mood. He thinks about his struggles early on, what he endures now, and what he might encounter in the future Yet despite it all, the Kid’s still himself. Silent and stalwart, as always.”
analyticalbob20 июл., 22:4115 years and not one miss. Will be interested to see what you all do next.
Traffic Conefox Vahno22 июл., 03:21You did Amazingly with Bastion. The choice at the very end, of what to do with the Bastion... It took far longer than I ever would've expected, after everything.
ChaosTearKitsune20 июл., 23:11oh my god, 15 years..... It feels like it was forever ago! I have the signed print of the Kid on my wall!
