I've been trying to read more over that last 2 years, but I'm finding that sometimes I get done with a book that's so incredible I lose the motivation to start something new afterward. This has been an odd experience because I've never felt this way with any other art form.

It's not like listening to Bach's St. Matthew Passion makes it hard to listen to anything else, or watching Yi Yi made me skeptical of putting another movie of. But after Absalom, Absalom! it feels like I'm scared of reading anything else b/c unconsciously I feel like it will be a waster of time.
