Meanwhile, I laugh because I am *STILL* using Sony Vegas Movie Studio, which was awesome for indie machinima makers like me who couldn't afford Vegas Pro, but didn't need all its bells and whistles, either. Now that SVMS is deprecated, I might upgrade to Pro's perpetual license.
