I'm reading "Western Star," a biography of Larry McMurtry by David Streitfeld. He remarks regularly on the dishonesty of McMurtry and other writers, straight faced enough that you might think Streitfeld, a writer himself, isn't another liar, like the rest of the field of professional writers.
