So sad for your loss. Family.

Why not treat the condition and fight until the end? We have 2 cats and a 3rd died young (pancreatic issues). We still took her to the ER and was able to extend her life by 13 days. She died naturally and we were there when it happened. Point is - we never put her to sleep and fought until the end.

So many tears, thank you for caring for these beautiful dogs. ♥️💕♥️

Thank you for taking care of Tofu. I rescued an older dog who needed love a couple of years ago and spoiled her until she passed. I know that you're sad now, but take some comfort in knowing that your story is an inspiration for all of us to continue to care for all the dogs who need us.🙏

It’s always sad losing our friends, but Tofu had a wonderful retirement after being rescued & shown love & kindness. He had good memories of HD & his friends in the last part of his life, so he felt community & respect. The retirement village is your best idea for the dogs who need the soft landing.

The loss of a loved one is difficult. But, for Tofu, at least he passed knowing he was loved and didn't go alone. Now, he's resting alongside his bestie, Atlas. RIP Tofu.

So crushingly beautiful

We lost one of our pups on Tuesday, she wasn't old, she would have been 11 in October. It was sudden and very unexpected, we believe her spleen ruptured, we tried to get her to the ER Vet but as was her way she couldn't wait that long and passed in the back seat with me loving on her. RIP DeeDee 🩷

When I was working with rescues, I struggled so much when they died; no matter how hard I worked to help them, inside I felt like I failed, or they would have lived. Radically unfair, life is life. They can’t, always. How do you handle these deaths? Is it the reframe of, “they got to know joy?”

I love his expression on the cart surrounded by all those toys. Those gifts are a wonderful, touching gesture. But the best gift Tofu and all the dogs take with them is the kindness, love, and compassion from everyone at Happy Doggo.

Thank you Niall and everyone at Happy Doggo. You gave Tofu love and dignity, right to the end. Goodbye sweet dear 😢 💔
