it was also liberating being in the outback without internet for 6 months. Europe basically doesn't exist when you're there. all of the pathetic trivial stuff we go on about here just doesn't exist there. somehow i found that very freeing

Just felt absolutely miles from the world and from anything, football or friends or anyone back home just felt the time difference makes it this mad island.

yeah this is why i could never live there. i grew up abroad and never really had a home but i've never felt further from 'home' than when i was in Australia
