I decided I didn't want this to be in a comment section; but regarding bullying artists...I do have a sort of issue with it, myself. For a hot minute, I'd say for about a year now since I've started making Hazbin fanmerch, I've noticed one particular character's sales have decreased significantly.

Gathering up behind somebody to do that and even spread hateful messages is very much bullying. And should never be tolerated or allowed. I am so sorry it happened to you Ty.

He sold so well when I first started. But suddenly he just stopped selling completely. I now get 1 maybe 2 sales when I used to get like...10 to 15. And even after the release of Season 2, I thought sales for this character (It's Vox) would rise. But they didn't. They remained the same or decreased.

My last sale of Vox merch was the Sherlock series and the Villain collab. And with both, I only sold 2. Even Husk surpassed Vox's sales. I'm still a small artist, me thinks. And I thought maybe it was something to do with either not reaching the right audience or my art is just shit lolol.

But looking back and really thinking about it, I think my sales are being hindered due to someone spreading some kind of rumor or lies about me. Just so my sales can decrease. And it all stems from me not conforming to making merch of one specific ship.

I'm going to keep the details of the specific ship vague because I don't hate the ship and I don't hate people who enjoy it, of course. But it does put a bad taste in my mouth from how many times I've been begged to make merch of this specific ship and these people never purchased from my shop-

again after I blatantly stated I'd just 'think about it'. I like to keep my standees and pins separate. So that everyone can have their ships. Their selected and favorites so everyone can be included. But also because if I want to make merch of ships...I wanna do MY ships. I have horrible arthritis-

I would in fact consider this a form of bullying. Gathering people in a circle and making up lies about them behind their back to keep them from making their bag is fucked up... I REALLY don't like venting publicly but seeing other people go through the same or worse scenarios irks me deeply...

I sincerely hope that's not true :( In my experience sadly a lot of people who ask for more Vox merch don't end up buying it. Hopefully it is just that!! And you should definitely make art that YOU love - it's the whole point of art! You're not obligated to make anything you don't want to!

Fuck, I had no idea you were going through this *hugs* 💕 It never fails to amaze me in the worst way how shamelessly entitled some people are when it comes to what artists create, as if there aren't a thousand other artists they could follow who would *gladly* pump out merch of their favorite ship.
