Islamophobia is prevalent & virulent, yes. disfiguremisia (hate of disfigured people) fatphobia hate of sex workers (just as examples) — all prevalent & virulent! and racism, transphobia, misogyny, antisemitism, etc — haven’t gone anywhere. there are just more people who know pushback *exists.*

Pols, pundits, podcasters, and other public figures can safely express Islamophobic sentiments without any fear of significant blowback because many people agree with them. Sickening.
