Last time I checked it out on my longer trips, I'd be dependent on like 2 fairly slow chargers to make it. Not sure if I could make it during a cold winter day. Charger infrastructure the rural midwest is still pretty grim. With Tesla, Superchargers, it would be almost impossible to road trip.
