I’ve been working on three(!) relatives’ estates, and one thing I’ve been reminded of is that social security numbers used to be widely visible. Like, in the envelope window on your bank statement. Because except for secret agent movies, there used to be virtually no such thing as identity theft. 🕵️♂️
