If she wanted people to really sit down and think about it, her tone would have been different. This was a vent.
Vents are fine, but you can’t be surprised by backlash.
It is her *job* to write this piece. She was literally paid to write it, and wrote it in the voice she was expected to. She took it apart, piece-by-piece, and lay her charges directly, and ends with a statement of gratitude. That's not a vent, nor is the backlash warranted.
