Not to defend it in any way, but when I was working at Disneyland ($15/hr) I lived across from South Coast Plaza (Santa Ana/Costa Mesa) and was paying $1800/month for a 1 bedroom. Would've been like a 20-30 minute drive to Blizzard; was there a reason why you couldn't go out farther? No car, etc.?
