Just so you remember, it was JD Vance who said migrants were eating cats and dogs. I assume you're a decent person who found that abhorrent and racist. So I think we both agree it's not wrong to call him a racist for that or to point out his hypocrisy that racist rhetoric puts his own family at risk

Because one should talk about millions of brown kids being hurt by Vance's policies, not his kids. Saying Vance hates his kids is a distraction that he'll be forgotten when he shows genuine love for his kids, making El-Sayed/Dems look stupid. And voters will forget about million brown kids.

Yes, because in October those voters disconnected from politics will be watching the ads. Because, even though they are disconnected from politics most of the time, many of them vote.

I already went through this today. Independents don't care about decorum. Independents are underrepresented in midterms. Low information voters will be swayed by the last message they see, so pinning your electoral victory hopes on them is insanity. None of this makes sense as to be of concern.

If they don't vote they don't matter for either side. But there are millions and millions of people who pay zero attention to politics 99% of the time, yet vote. In fact, they are probably a majority of voters. And their votes will be influenced by ads that some Democrats gift to Republicans.

Some (millions) Americans are disconnected from politics. Some will be influenced by negative publicity. Is this a contradiction? Do you really think that ONE description must cover ALL people? Dems should strive not to unnecessarily turn off segments of the electorate.
