I called some of my neighbors racist for supporting the SEPA bonus appeals process. It was correct to do so. They are. Some of them don't want Black and brown people to live in their neighborhoods, and they want to pretend that this extra bonus Seattle Process™️ appeal is about environmentalism.
The UrbanistA 5-4 Seattle City Council vote yesterday means city-level appeals that have delayed significant citywide zoning changes in the past will be extinguished.
