Microplastics and forever chemicals are inescapable now. They're in the rain falling on the Amazon and the snow falling on Antarctica. They're in all the soil, all the air and almost every water source on the entire planet We got 3 lbs of brain and we're not smart enough to not poison our own home

Ugh 😩! Terrible news! These cenotes are absolutely gorgeous, and part of the history of Yucatán.

Went to Tulum 5 years ago and watched whole cases of soda bottles wash up on the beach among so many other things. Somebody stacked them together the next day. So I’d say they have a real plastics problem. It’s sad to see that right next to a protected biosphere.

Also had a Russian porn studio stay below our Airbnb and did promo pictures on the beach the first day. Pretty cool, right? Those fuckers took all the hot water. 🤬

Stop using fucking plastic people in some cases we need to. I look around each day and do not see a whole lot of people avoiding it. Don’t buy Ziploc bags. Be responsible. The mother Earth has given us much but she’s about to take it back. Accelerated by our responsibility.

The problem is plastic is in paint, it's in tyres, it's in clothes. We could get rid of plastic bottles and Ziploc but that wouldn't make a dent. If you wash a shirt you now have micro plastics in the water. If you drive your EV? Same issue.

I agree. But getting rid of single use, plastic would make a huge difference. And even plastic wrap products that transfer plastics and BPA into our food.
