so there's two things going on with the nyc crime numbers. the high-stakes crime numbers going down is good, because it's hard NOT to record those. but cops are being lazy as fuck and just outright not ticketing low-stakes crimes, like traffic tickets for cars in illegal spots like bike lanes 🫠
