Employers who use E-Verify receive emails re: court decisions for TPS. They are *encouraged* to run a report from E-Verify that flags employees whose Employment Authorization is not longer valid and must be terminated. No report run = no clue if employees have lost authorization.

Wouldn't they get something back from payroll when they tried to remit taxes for him?

Not that I’m aware of. Not all states require the use of E-Verify. I kind of doubt the IRS is going to say “nope we don’t want this money”.

Federal taxes, while sent to the IRS throughout the year, are not reported with the taxpayers Social Security number until the end of the year.

I really worry because of the IRS making that info sharing agreement with ICE that the people who manage to keep working will be at risk
